How to seal wood with epoxy resin – step by step

Step 1Preparation
The wood surface must be dry, clean, and free of grease. Smooth out any unevenness with sandpaper.

Step 2primer
Apply a thin first layer of resin to saturate the wood and minimize the likelihood of air bubbles.

Step 3sealing
After drying, apply a second, thicker layer of epoxy resin evenly. Remove bubbles with a hot air gun or isopropanol spray.

Step 4Curing
Depending on the resin, allow to dry for 12-48 hours; complete hardening takes approximately 7 days.

Step 5finish
If necessary, lightly sand and polish to achieve the desired shine.
